There are lots of ways we ring in the New Year! A toast, a ski down a mountain, a card game, a song, a resolution, whatever it is that makes your New Start, a good one, well cheers to that!

I have recently come into contact with Ikigai, or Mogami Wellness; what does it mean to live a life of purpose? Based in Japanese, it is a learning concept to help us find balance, motivation, and meaning in life.

What is my Ikigai and starting out this New Year, the year of the horse, what intention can I set forth? What questions! My intention for this year is to find more balance; balance in nature, work & play balance, and balance in my health. That is my key word for 2026 - balance.

What about you, what is an intention you have or may set forth for yourself for 2026? Cheers to the New Year, and the Year of the Horse! May you find the meaning you are looking for, and motivate yourself to get there.
