Mary Bea was raised in Petoskey, MI, with the constant reminder of "Go Outside and Play". Her adventuresome spirit led her across country to Hawaii, Vermont, North Carolina, and Europe. She worked gardens and landscapes soaking up the cultures as she went. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Northern Michigan University. She worked on Mackinac Island, for 8 years, taking in the lush gardens, timeless pace, and beauty. She returned home to Petoskey in 2021 to launch Mary Bea Art, her independent business, inspired by the natural world, and the changing seasons of northern michigan.
